Hi Benzy, I just bought a 10 gal from Home Depot. Very easy to turn into a mash tun. I'd imagine that if you're just doing 5 gal batches, there's no real need to go larger in your mash tun. Larger to me would be that you lose more temp. Also, are you preheating your mash tun beforehand? Trying...
