    Sunday Funday, anyone brewing?

ah i hate when that happens. Once or twice I boiled some water and added to the bucket when I was low on volume as long as my gravity was high enough.

Got a late start but just mashed in on my habanero chocolate porter. Going to be a fun evening! Anyone else getting a brew day in?

New York eBrewSupply.com Complete RIMS Temperature Control package - HALF OFF

Hey all, I won this new item a few weeks back, but I don't do electric brewing so can't use it. I found it on the vendor website and looking to sell it cheap to someone that can properly appreciate the product. I myself have no use for it. Check it out and let me know if you might find it...

spent grain doggy biscuits! made them finally and puppy loves them!

I have now made these three times and feel like we have it down pretty solid. Our maltipoo puppy loves them, and the dogs in the building wolf them down like nobody's business. Healthy, simple, and puts some of the grain to use instead of throwing it out. Here is my blog post about it with...

Planning my first Oatmeal IPA, and some new first-time techniques...

Cool, that's exactly what I hope to accomplish. Having the mouthfeel in the direction of oatmeal stout, the smoother bitterness from FWH, and going for a subisomeric hop stand as you call it. I want those to not contribute to the bitterness so will shoot for 170-175. It's a first attempt, if...

Planning my first Oatmeal IPA, and some new first-time techniques...

Hi all, I'm planning to make an oatmeal IPA, and also test out FWH first wort hops instead of any boiling additions. Also I'm planning to skip any aroma additions like 15/5 minute ones, and instead try an hour hop stand/whirlpool at about 175F. It's an experiment for me, not sure how it...

Brewed yesterday, first batch in half a year!

Made an attempt towards Ballast Point Grapefruit Sculpin, so first time trying mash-hopping and fwh / first wort hopping. Nothing grapefruit yet, but will add the peeled rinds when i dry hop in 1.5-2 weeks from now. Was fun! https://bodobeers.wordpress.com/homebrew-recipes/6-grapefruit-ipa/

A Year In Review - Lessons Learned

This was a nice read, got me laughing at my desk :-) The rubber hose thing and the "batch 1 sucked" were too funny. I'm just about at first year in myself, only got chance to make 5 batches so far though. About to start again now that kitchen is cool enough to ferment in (brewing 5 gallon...
