I ferment in sankes with the top cut out and a domed lid i get 15 gallons in them and want to do 1 bbl batch in one vessel. I see that you do up a bbl brew and was wondering if you scaled the recipe back to fit the conical ?For me it is the difference of 5 cornies or 6 Thanks !
Maxout may I ask you to give us hard measurements on the conical I have a True double door cooler and it is 23 1/2" wide at the door 25" deep .I'm in the market for a large conical for 1bbl batches as well .I have a boil kettle from Glacier and it is top quality Thanks
I do the same thing my PBW is in a big rubber made container and i have had bug and other thing like lint from the air get stuck in the springs .pull apart and clean every time :rockin:
I sound like a gluten but I have 40 ball lock and brew 15 gal batches and some 1bbl batches. I have 10 taps two nitro and 8 reg and alot of friends !!I secondary in them as well. right now I have 7 sitting and the others are in either place :D
I use sanke's as well I use domed lids from Faberware 12" skillet they are stainless steel and can handle a o ring from a 5 gal bucket. I then just use a ratcheting strap to hold the lid down. Drip a 7/8 hole for a 1" blow off tube :rockin:
Thanks I screwed up and left on the gas all night. now I'm at work I will pull it off when I get home. But it sure looks cool seeing the head cascade down the glass :mug:
I force carbed with all C02 at 40 lbs for a day and a half so it is putting off a good head when it is a regular tap I have one cornie on a reg tap that was not carbed enough so I really carbed this one so it would have a big head. Yes the restrictor plate is in good call you had me looking to...
