From what I've read, yes. Be very careful about what concentration you mix it at. I've had 3 batches in a row with a somewhat funny taste that I attribute to too high of a concentration.

Do you mean that was your OG? That's insanely high for a FG. And if that is your final gravity it would be very sweet, not "not sweet."

I retract my previous comment lol. I've had them get pretty puffy, almost like a football, but never a pop. If it absolutely had to sit at room temp for a long time I'd probably poke a hole at the top with a pin or something.

The only thing I would assume it could possibly be is your sanitizer. It could taste high in alcohol (burny) but only with higher alcohol concentrations. I'd let it age out and try it again. There's really no reason to dump it unless you don't like the taste. I doubt it's even remotely harmful...

Don't over think it. I've never heard of a pack popping from pressure so you can't let it sit too long. And the pack says you can pitch it without even breaking the pack so there's no "too little" time. You should be just fine.
