    Water Conservation When Brewing

    I use a 55 gal. plastic olive barrel to hold all my chill water, and then use that to water my plants when dry.

    A great craft beer store is closing

    We just had our LHBS close in Traverse City, MI (Bad Teacher), but somebody else bought their inventory and they re-openend in a new, smaller site with less overhead and only weekend hours. Will have to wait and see if this works out.

    What is the purpose of the 6.5 gallon threaded carboys?

    My 6.5 carboy came with a plastic screw cap which I use to hold in cleaning liquids that I swirl around. glad I kept the cap, as my lhbs will throw them out if you dont want them.

    Wilser, I have one of your 10 gal. bags and am very happy with it. Cannot believe these large bags! Glad to know they work, as it gives a new pro brewer with financial limitations a chance to make there dream come true as less equipment is needed.

    Which Aerating Kit

    Another good option that is cheaper to use is the Mix Stir Rod that attaches to a drill. It is good for lower gravity beers mostly though. Have had great results in conjunction with a yeast starter too. Just my 2 cents worth.
