    get a "Thief" for hydrometer readings.....they really come in handy since you'll be doing alot of specific gravity checks......

    racking to secondary

    it's a little attachment that fits on the end of your siphon to filter out unwanted trub (pronounced "troob"), the auto-siphon comes with one attached already.....the little black plastic thingy on the end.....

    yeah i definitely agree with Beer4Breakfast...get an auto-siphon...i recently got one and can't believe how long i went without it.....probably my favorite piece of equipment....easy as 1,2,3.... it has an attached racking cane to filter out any unwanted trub....:drunk:
