I'm pretty sure its a crabapple. There are two seeds inside like an apple. They are soooo tiny I'm not sure it would be worth it to make wine. All the recipes say to use real crabapples, not ornamentals. Besides I think the stems and leaves might be toxic to us humans.
What is your recipe...
My neighbors say these are wild cherries. There's a ton of them and it's October. Hummm. I can't find anything that matches exactly on the internet. So what are they and can I make wine out of them?
I'm not convinced that it is chokecherry - the photos on the internet show a bunch of berries...
This wine turned out really great! Why does it taste so different - I opened a bottle at one month and it was ok. At 6 weeks it was great. 7 weeks so so again...
bottling day and my riesling is crystal clear and tastes pretty darned good..... But at the bottom of the carboy was about 2 bottles worth of sludge. Any ideas on how to filter it?
It is fermenting like crazy without raisins, so I'll let it be. I looked up other recipes and they didn't have raisins in it at all, so I hope it's ok. Smells devine!
anyone have a recipe for black raspberry merlot? or blackberry merlot? can I add berries to a kit? this wine making hobby is becoming a habit......but I love it!
oh darn..another reason to buy some wine.... I have one 1 gallon vessel so i only need one but i also need another bung. hubby is tired of going to the wine store! thank you!
