Trying to come up with a recipe.

Brewed last night. Ended up being: 3lbs Sorghum 6lbs Brown Rice 1.7lbs Dark Candi Syrup .75oz Magnum @ 60mins .5oz Hallertau @ 10mins .5oz Hallertau @ 1min (I like the hoppy smell, not sure if it fits with the style though) Yeast Nutrient Irish Moss I made a starter for the WLP500 with...

    Wyeast Beer Nutrient

For what it's worth: "None of the ingredients in the nutrient contain gluten, but, we do process it in a facility that utilizes gluten containing ingredients (dry malt extract). Though the potential for cross contamination is very minimal, at this time, we do not take measures to prevent this...

Trying to come up with a recipe.

In addition, is there an advantage to brown rice syrup over sorghum? If I changed it to: 7lbs Sorghum 2 lbs Brown Rice Syrup 1.7 lbs Dark Candi Would this be disastrous? I realize it would be darker, but for ease of obtaining supplies this would work out much better. Also, add maltodextrin?

    GF Brewing with Chestnuts

This sounds great! I have so many beers I want to try and make, this is just adding to the list. The beer I miss most is a Dunkelweizen. I've been trying to figure out what to put in a gluten free variety of that that, I don't know if chestnuts would work or not? Being able to get rid of the...

    Briess GF Recipes

I made the Hoppy to be Gluten Free right off the directions as my first brew. It turned out pretty well, not the greatest, but good for a first try. I had some problem while making it in that half the bottles ended up cloudy and good, and half ended up clear and very sweet. After a few months...
