    When to Add Wildflower Honey

I would add it after a couple days of fermentation (after high krausen). Directly from the container into fermenter and mix very well to ensure it is all dissolved. Some will say be careful doing that, as the honey hasn't been boiled to sanitize. If it makes you nervous, heat in a small amount...

Blackberry Marmalade Cayenne Pepper White Chocolate Quad IIIIPA Recipe....need your h

It's going to be better than if Utopias and Heady had a love child. Seriously. But I want to keep it simple. I'm thinking 2-row and cascade. Just boiled for a long time. And I'll add honey after primary to protect the delicate aromas. Sent from my iPhone using Home Brew

    Tweaking my IPA

Keep the warrior at 60m. Add enough to get 75-80% of your desired IBU. Consider using hop extract (hops shot, etc) for this. Drop the 20 min addition. Squeeze the rest of your hops between 10 and 0 mins, then do another 1-2oz whirlpool addition for 30 mins after cooling slightly. Then double...

Heady Topper- Can you clone it?

Hey everyone. I have been following this post for quite sometime, but can't for the life of me find the actual recipe in all 2000+ responses! Haha Can someone point me in the right direction? I think we're at version 6 now right?

    Blood red beet IPA

I have no idea. I think using beets would be somewhat similar to using pumpkins in a pumpkin ale. You typically don't boil the pumpkins you mash with them

    Blood red beet IPA

Are you just looking for color? If so, use beet juice. No benefit to boiling, really. Maybe at flameout?

    House Rye IPA Try #3

what is the expected IBU? OG? I would add a 60 min addition. Grain bill looks pretty good. I have never used that much rye before. I think you should probably consider some rice hulls. Rye tends to make the mash clog. What have you changed since your first and second batch?

No bubbles no krausen after 3 days

What temperature did you pitch the yeast? Was it dry yeast? Liquid yeast? Smack pack? Repitch another package/starter of yeast. Sounds like it is dead.

Attempted a cream ale/lager and had an odd result, opinions?

Sounds like a dirty keg and an infection to me. Yum. :)

Include dead space in grain to water ratio?

You gave 4 gallons of dead apace? As in, you add 5 gallons of water and, grain and only 1 gallon touches grain? Absolutely consider it in your water addition calcs. That is a hell of a loss. What type of MLT are you using?

Double Batch to One Fermentation Vessel

I would think pitching the first day would hurt anything. Just my initial thought. May I ask why you recommend he wait?

    RyePA critique please

How quickly do you cool your wort? A 0 min addition is good, but very different depending on your cooling time. More dry hops never hurt anyone! Haha I have been wanting to add a pump to my system so I can whirlpool hop. I say give the recipe a shot as is, and tweak itis next time!
