Hey has anyone converted any thermoelectric coolers for homebrew use?

there are several large sized coolers similar to igloo coolers used as mash tuns and was wondering if anyone has converted one of these to either a fermenting box, draft dispenser, or even maybe for use when chilling wort maybe? any thoughts on this would be awesome.

It's been attempted. Frankly, they don't seem to work very well.

They will only lower the temperature about 30*F below the room temp, and they are horribly inefficient. They are HUGE power hogs.

Standard refrigerant cooling systems, refrigerators and freezers, simply work better.

Thanks Captain, I posted this before doing a search and found much of the same info leading to them being power hogs.
