Hi all

I have just started buying better quality yeasts for my brews, and i am trying different ones: lallemand nottingham ale,and american ale, safale s04 and coopers ale.
Am i right in thinking that after primary i can harvest the yeast cake into tubs (everything sanitised of course) freeze them so i have a selection. Then thaw them on brew day and start them off on my next brew day as you would a dry yeast packet? i was thinking in considerably larger amounts...

I might be completely wrong on this so i thought it would be best to check it out first. It will probably end up being much more complicated.

Cheers guys

First you need to wash the yeast to remove all the trub (see here), then follow the guide to making a frozen yeast bank posted above.
