what exactly is it?
can I make anything other than stout with it?

I have 25 pounds of this due to a great deal online but I don't think I want 3 or 4 batches of the same stout.

10gallon RIS.
12gallon boil
4oz columbus for 60 min
4oz centennial 5 min
4oz centennial flameout.
OG ~1.085, FG ~ 1.020 ABV 8.3!

You could divide the hops and the boil into a couple of kettles!

Condition for about 6 months after bottling!

Just a thought! Keep us updated on what you decide!

Could probably make a couple nice porters or even try out some new things since you have extra ingredients lying about. For instance:

Make 2 porters the exact same with the same yeast, but ferment one at 59 and the other at 68. You'll have 2 different porters. Or make the exact same recipe and try a Cal Ale yeast in one and an English Ale yeast in the other; again two totally different beers from one brew day. Be creative and have fun.

a black IPA huh? this sounds like something I would like, how would one go about that?
