I brewed my first batch last Friday. I'm planing to just let it sit in primary for three weeks and then bottling. Should I pop the lid off tomorrow (one week after brewing) to check the FG, or should I just leave the batch untouched until I go to bottle?

What kind of beer is it? What was the OG? Bigger beers sometimes require longer primary times. If it's an average gravity beer (1045-1065) I would check it after 2 weeks. Then check it again a few days later. If the results are consistent then you know FG has been reached and you're ok to bottle.
