Should I still boil for 90 minutes on a small batch of 2.5 gallons to boil away the off flavors?

Will I burn the wort?

Because I know that it is suggested to boil a five gallon batch for 90 minutes.

Does the same reasoning apply?

+1, still need to do 90 minutes. Because you are doing a 90 min boil, you will compensate with more initial water volume. No more risk of scorching the wort at 212 for 60 minutes than 212 for 90 minutes, especially with the extra starting volume.

Thank you. I know what my boil off rate it soooo I'll start with an extra 1/2 gallon water in the pot.
