I'm about to put my first beer into secondary. Brewed last Wednesday, I'll be down to a airlock bubble every minute or so by tomorrow night at this rate. It still has a very thick krausen on it (2 inch, about). Should I swirl that back in, leave it and rack thru it, or wait until it falls?

Thanks

Wait until the krausen falls and the surface mostly clears before you rack into the secondary. Patience is a virtue. Especially with homebrew. You will be amply rewarded.

Don't rack it until the krausen falls or you will disrupt the fermentation process. Everyone is always judging their beer by airlock activity; not really the best method. Once the krausen has fallen, then you know it's time to rack to secondary.

Brewing is all about patience and letting the beer do it's thing; every ferment will be different.
