Just wondering if it's safe to switch an airlock while it's fermenting. Had the fermenting come up into the airlock but luckily didn't bubble over or blow off the airlock...Just wonder if anyone else has had this happen to them and what did you do?

Try starting ferment out with a blow off hose, then when the wild ferment settles put the airlock on. This way, if you arent home to catch a problem like this you wont have to worry about it blowing off.
