Would it be better to brew hops in a bag? Or just toss them in?

I used hops bags for the first 5 brews, during one brew a bag ruptured, and another the pulverized hops just boiled through the bag, so finally with my last brew I just tossed them in and I think that's the way I'm going to do it from now on.... one less thing to worry about....

In the end they settle out.

Recipes 

Toss 'em in. If they are still floating when you try to bottle or rack to secondary, you probably are trying to move the beer too soon. Whole hops will settle out, and pellet hops will all but disappear.
