First brew day ever was Dec 15th of last year.
As I embark on batch #15(DarthVaderBlackIPA, thanks ScoobyBrew), Id like to stop and thank everybody that makes this forum such an awesome source of information.
First three were extract. Along the way I built a cooler mash tun for AG, bought a chiller, bought a winefridge, added an STC1000 a flex-a-watt heater, picked up a couple more carboys, even fermented a bit of cider.
Not exactly sure how much money I've spent or saved, how many bottles I've washed, given away or drank. Way worth the effort.
Ive done Denny's Wry Smile, made, mostly copied,my own recipes for some Pales and IPAs, brewed with leftover hops, and with fresh hops, made one for St Patty's Day, lagered one for October, did a Blonde with coffee bean(great beer). Some have been decent, most have been really good. A couple have been great. Even entered a local contest and got great feedback. People at the two local homebrew shops have been great too.
Not sure where my brewing goes from here but looking like a long, fun ride.
