Has anyone made this? I have it and was wondering if it really needs 4-6 months to taste good. If it does then I'm gonna make it this weekend and let it sit till Christmas.

It will taste good in about a month. It will taste better in 4 months. It will likely peak in flavor at about a year, and at 2 years is should be a really smooth sipper. None of my beers have made it past the 2 year mark.:(

Ok good to know. Then maybe I'll still make it but serve it around thanksgiving. I drink too much so my beers never make it too long either. Right now my Octoberfest and this winter ale will be the longest that I will have had a beer sit since I started brewing again. Thanks for the info.
