itzkramer Well-Known Member Joined Jan 31, 2011 Messages 186 Reaction score 29 Location Cleveland Aug 7, 2011 #2 most extract kits say to boil a minimum of 2 gallons, but more if you can. i used to boil 3 gallons and top off, then i switched to full boils and didnt notice a difference. people will tell you that it messes with hop utilization, but in my experience its negligible.
