Default Efficiency calculators?

When I punch in my grains, my efficiency goes lower if I include my non fermentable grains, like carapils and crystal 10-40. I thought non-fermentable grain wouldn't affect my fermentable grain efficiency. I was using brewers friend...Any thoughts, because I was stoked to finally hit almost 70%, but adding those non-fermentables lowered it. I'm looking into a Barley Crusher for better efficiency and so I can use organic grain...Thanks.

According to beersmith, those two does have fermentables in them. Both are hitting roughly 1.033 of potential SG. I guess I learned something too because like you, I never realized they contained fermentables.

Specialty grains all have starch to convert as long as they're mashed with base grains.
