Well the past 3 of 4 batches of homebrew have had a fairly strong to faint cream corn taste in the finish. The 1 that didnt was a centennial ipa that tastes terrible I think I got some bad centennials (they didn't smell cheesey at all).
2 of the past 3 batches were a take on a cream ale. 1 was Bm's recipe using plain white rice cereal mashing with 2 row and subing out the hops and using Notty. The other was a amped up version with some added 6 row plain white rice cereal mashed with 2 row, this used a s-05 cake. Both recipes had I believe 2 pounds of flaked corn each. I also used Amylase Enzyme in the mash at I believe 1/2 t total.
The other batch which was just done and is still in the primary is a take on blue moon this 1 has the faint cream corn taste in the finish. This batch too used notty.
The centennial ipa doesn't have the cream corn taste in the finish but it may be in there its just the hops are hiding it. I have done around 5 different takes on Bm's cream of three crops before these attempts all were very clean tasting no presence of this cream corn taste. My process has been the same for every different batch of beer with the sight change of water to grist ratio which used to be 1.25 and I upped to 1.5. I would rather not dump 20 gallons of beer so any help would be great.
