I made a session style CDA in an extract version that turned of really good. Beset beer I've made. Well, I recently moved into AG through BIAB. Already have 2 batches fermenting away, but I'm thinking about brewing a session style CDA again with BIAB. Here's what I'm looking at

2-row: 7lbs
Dehusked carafa 3: 1lb
Crystal 80: 1 lb

.5oz warrior @60
.5 oz warrior @15
1oz cascade @5
1oz Columbus @0
1oz millennium @0

Safale us-05

5 gallons

Mash at 152 for 60
Mash out at 168 for 10

What do you think?

I like a little chocolate in mine. I went with
11 lbs Pale Malt
1 lbs Crystal 60L
12.0 oz Carafa II
8.0 oz Chocolate Malt

I hop with heavily cascade, amarillo, and simcoe the last 20 minutes/dry hop and I bitter with magnum.
It's delicious.

If I was to change anything, I might add some midnight wheat in place of some of the Carafa II or possible replace the Carafa II with Blackprinz. This is mostly because the color wasn't as 'black' as I wanted it, but rather more of a deep dark brown.

Any other thoughts on this recipe. I know there are plenty of people brewing CDA/ black IPA out there.
