A friend of mine just bought an old bar that has been closed for several years. One of the many surprising items that he found was an untapped keg of Beamish Irish Stout. The keg could be anywhere from a year to 15 years old. Probably more in the arena of 3 years, if we had to guess.

Chances of the beer still being good?

If it's been kept fairly cool, or better yet, refridgerated the entire time it should keep fairly well. If it's experienced lots of tempertue fluctuations there will be noticeable change to the beer, but not neccesarily that makes it undrinkable. I'd tap it and see how it has held up. Worse case scenario is it's awful and you dump it.
