A whole pack???

i am making my first batch of cider today... and didn't know if i should use the whole pack of yeast or not... i am using the Lalvin EC-1118... in a gallon jug. pitch all of it?
or not to pitch it all...?

Packs are good to up to 5 or 6 gallons. But it is my understanding.tha using them all in a smaller batch is totally fine. I have done it many times with no ill effects

You only need a 2-3 grams for a 1 gallon batch. Save the rest for future brews.

What was the starting gravity? That and fermenter volume determine pitching rate.

Starting was about 1.070... I pitched the whole pack.
