I usually use Knottingham but decided to try out 1118 after reading about it in the forum. Knotti's usually ready to bottle by now... Not mellowed but drinkable. After 1 month, the 1118 still smells and tastes bready. It's perfectly clear and was racked 2 weeks ago.

Anyone know how much longer this stuff takes than Knottingham?

Thanks!

I have used 1118 quite a bit, and usually let it go for about 1 month to 5 weeks then bottle. I let it carb and condition in the bottle for at least a month before drinking it. The yeasty taste goes away by then, but with all ciders, it gets better as the time goes on.
