hey guys, doing my first Mead tonight.
It's actually a "hydromel" I guess.
Adding 2.5lbs of Orange Blossom Honey to 2 gallons of water. OG should be around 1.044 from what I've seen, but I plan to add 3 lbs Blackberry puree in secondary.
My question is regarding the amount of Fermaid-K and DAP to add for this size batch. Is it relative to the size of the batch, the OG, or both?
Would I be OK adding 2g Fermaid-K and 4g DAP, and 2g Potassium Carbonate for the first addition?
