Made a batch of JOAM back in sept- bubbled away then stopped to stop - the fruit did drop

In March got a hydrometer and the reading was 1.111- added some 1118 to it as only thing the store had along with some raisins- it has now gone up to only 1.090? (its been 3 wks since adding the second yeast)
the new raisins have dropped and its crystal clear

Is there any chance there is any alcohol in it (wont make the mistake of not taking an initial reading again:eek:)

is it safe to bottle or is it just sweet honey water?

should it be repitched- have found a store that doesnt just have "what ever comes in the bucket kit is all we have!"

thanks!:mug:

Well, I'd have thought that it might be best to hit it with fermaidk, fermax, or similar combined nutrient, then either take some out and blitz it in a liquidiser/food processor (sanitised of course) and put the blitzed liquid back in or hit it with a stick blender.

If it does go dry, then you can always just stabilise it, then back sweeten.....

That's what I'd do anyway

brilliant that sounds doable! will try it
thanks so much for the info
the honey we have seems to have really high sp and is causing lots of issues!
