I purchased the En Primeur Dashwood New Zealand Pinot Noir kit today from my LHBS. I was looking through the kit and there is all the normal stuff (bentonite, sorbate, Kmeta, etc.), then I see a Mylar bag labeled "oak1192". I opened it and it seems to be oak shavings/powder. However there is also Hungarian oak cubes included too. The directions state, "your wine kit might contain oak powder/chips..." So, finally, my question is would I use both? Use one or the other? I just don't want to over oak if I'm not supposed to use both. Any insight is welcome.

Thanks,

Ryan
