Had a few flakes on the way home last night. The white xmas that was on, then off, then on, then off, then postponed to Saturday; is officially off. Cold and clear through New Year's.

This will change at least 17 times between now and NY's day. I've lived in places with variable weather, but not like here. Getting rained on while the sun is shining is normal. Makes for some amazing double and triple rainbows.

Totally unrelated, I have now managed to keep a slow fire going for four days in a row. It froze last night and the heat pump never kicked in.
