I am putting my control panel together, Its a small Auber single PID box. My pump pulls 1.25 amps and the element pulls 9 amps. so 10.25 amps together. I kinda wanted to use this switch and plug off a computer power supply. BUT I would have to run a second cord for the pump as the switch has a max amperage of 10A.

I wanted to be able to unplug all the cords and be able to store the box cleanly, but is it worth having to plug in two cords to do so? One to power the element and one for the pump?

I don't know what is your cord rating. Can you read its AWG? If its 15 A rated I'd just buy 15a rated switch($5).

Yeah i'm starting to think i should buy a new plug and switch.... It was just soo nice having it all ready to go wired up
