Default wyeast question

What temp can yeast drop to before it dies? 12 degrees mine dropped too cold snap but on way back up to 20 what ill effects will that have on brew?

Around freezing causes the yeast's cells to burst, and they die. Cold merely makes them go dormant, but once the temps go back into their normal operating range they wake up and get back to work.
