Hello there,

I'm curious how long I can keep a packet of WYeast in my fridge before I activate and brew with it?

I am fermenting my first batch right now and it'll be ready in about 1.5 weeks. I want to brew another batch right after! I got 100 bottles waiting to be filled :) Or do you recommend I just slow down and make sure this first batch went well?

Thanks,
Lorne

Quite awhile, especially if you are going to build it up by doing a starter. It also depends on how long it was sitting at the homebrew shop, check the date on the package and then go to mrmalty.com, enter the info into the free yeast calc and that should get you in the ballpark as far as viability.
