So i am wanting to experiment with making a cola beer. By starting off with a a little to no hopped beer then add coke syrup after fermentation. Im thinking i can boil coke down to a syrup to concentrate it. This is just going to be a fun experiment. Any advice will be appreciated. Thanks.

do it.
consider using fermentables that impart less flavor than malt, i.e. rice, corn ect.
also, potassium sorbate once it has got to the point it is still sweet, or back sweeten. though you will need to force carb. if the cola flavoring has any fermentation inhibitors you will need to add after fermentation is complete.

or, sugar water fermented plus sodastream cola?

so make a rice/corn beer. potasium sorbate when done fermenting. then backsweeten with homemade syrup/store bought, maybe rootbeer extract. do you think hops are necessary? Has anyone ever done this?
