So I was transferring a split batch to a keg this morning when I came up with a thought. I had dry hopped the first 5 gallons of the split batch with 3 ounces of hop pellets. I as going to do the same with the second 5 gallons as well.

Then, I came up with this thought. Has anyone every reused dry hops like reusing a yeast cake?

I was thinking about dry hopping 5 gallons for a week, then transferring to a keg and turn around and transfer my second primary back on top of the used dry hops from the secondary that I just transferred.

Simple thought which I sure has been done many times before but I had never.

Any ideas?

Although it would be nearly inconceivably awesome if they did, hops do not replicate like yeast does. Methinks the hop oils that make your beer taste and smell so good are no longer in the used hops, or are at least too depleted to impart the same effect to another batch.
