tailgate stout

In Northeast Ohio, nothing compares to high school football.
I want to make a RIS for a rivalry game the first weekend in November. I am thinking about adding Chocolate nibs and coffee to secondary. I have made several IPAs and a saison, but never a stout. Please give me any advice you can. Thanks.

First, there is precious little time to make a RIS. I'd drop the ABV down and use a few tricks to get it done and drinkable in time. Otherwise it will end up hot and alcoholic. I'd probably shoot for 8-9% tops. I've done the cacao nibs and want to try the coffee sometime. I've also added cocoa (8 ounces) to the boil and have a chocolate hazelnut porter (Jamil's) in primary right now.

In my mind, those things are all good and it's hard to go wrong unless you add too much. A strong stout already has so much flavor.

I'm not that good at reading recipes, so I can't give too much advice on that.

It is around 8%, so right there
