I'm looking for a rich imperial American brown ale. How does this grain bill look? 5.5 gal batch. OG 1.082

10 lbs Pale Malt (2 Row) US (2.0 SRM) Grain 57.14 %
3 lbs Victory Malt (25.0 SRM) Grain 17.14 %
2 lbs White Wheat Malt (2.4 SRM) Grain 11.43 %

I'm thinking malty and smooth with a subdued roastiness. Will the 8 oz be enough you thinks?
 
I would mash this on the higher end if you are using us-05. Maybe 155 or so?

That was the plan. I want a good bit of body for it. I added the corn sugar to boost the abv just a bit. If I mash at 155 I don't think it will dry it out too much.
 
Mother #@$#@*! Just got done cooling down to 60 and I missed my f'ing OG by 10 pts. I BIAB and have what I think is a pretty good crush from a corona style mill but I can't seem to get better than 70% efficiency. This time 61%! Guess I need some ph strips or a meter.
 
I freaking know. I'll go through the 12 steps of homebrewer failure. I've gotten to acceptance already and I'm sure it's going to be a damn good beer. Thanks for everyone's input. I'm about to go pour a pint of my Pliney clone. The hops increase the production of endorphins. At least that's what my studies have shown. :mug:
