I bought a 5 lbs sack of pellets from a local farm 2 months ago and when I finally opened the vacuum sealed pack to make BierMuncher's Centennial Blonde, I noticed that they had absolutely no hop smell to them at all. Also the pellets are about 3 times the size of the pellets I got from Northern Brewer.
Did I waste $60? I haven't tried the beer yet (probably will in 4 days when I move to the keg). The hop pellets look green still. I hope my beer doesn't taste like lawn clippings.
Has anyone had a similar experience?
Btw, they are 6.63% AA
