Just tried a bottle of this and I'd like to add a clone of this to my list of recipes to brew sometime. I've done a bit of searching and none of the recipes I've found that are supposed to be clones list molasses as an ingredient and the label on the bottle I have clearly states "Porter with molasses added." Any suggestions? This is listed on the label as 7.4% ABV

Rather tasty concoction, I think. :) :mug:

I don't know this one. But I just read the recipe for Biermuncher's Black Pearl Porter and it looks fantastic. You might like it yourself, give it a look.

Have a look at my recipe for innis and gunn.
its extremely close and i would change a thing personally.
Another guy has tried my recipe and so far he has said he is impressed.

Just curious... most of the threads I've found don't seem to indicate using any molasses in the recipe. But the bottle clearly says it's made with molasses. Is that just marketing hype or do they really use molasses? If they really do, why doesn't anyone use it in their recipe?
