I want to brew EdWorts Bee Cave Brewery Haus Pale Ale which calls for Cascades exclusively. Since I can't find those for under 6 bucks an ounce...what are people using as an alternative that is readily available?

There are a lot of hops derived from cascade (almost anything that starts with a c). Columbus is pretty good.

The problem is that your true replacements are in the same predicament.

If you’re willing to give up some of the citrusy hop aspect, Sterling would be a nice clean alternative. Less citrus but a nice clean mild spice to it. It also is pretty available right now.

Unless you need to find Cascade locally, there are many places online that have Cascade at well below $6 an ounce. I just ordered Cascade, Centennial, and Amarillo this week, all for under $3 / oz.
