So i was trying to figure out what size SSR you guys are using for your pid, i havnt put much work into it but right now im to lazy to do the math so what wire size also?? im running a 120v 1500 element. i guess i could do the math for the extension cord.lol

Thats 12.5 Amps. I would recomend a 25 Amp SSR. Ebay huns a bunch of them w/ heat sink for around $20 shipped which is pretty cheap. Make sure you get the right kind of coil though. Most PID controllers use a DC pulsed output.

If you're going to stick with 1500W then 14Awg will do you good.

thank virtuaous, i bought a love controller of ebay a while ago , do i need a dc pulse ssr to ac??

You are going to want to get a DC to AC SSR and order the Switched Voltage ouput option on the love controller.

How much is that little bad boy?
