So im building a rims set up and i have seen some single tier stands with one pump, what im woundering is how do you sparge with one pump?? am i a just being dumb here?? it seems so easy yet so hard... maybe its all the college mixed up with y brew plans.lol
Batch sparge would be possible with one pump - pump liquor to MLT then pump wort to kettle, fly sparging wouldn't - can't pump liquor to MLT and pump wort to kettle at the same time obviously.
yeah thats what i thought, thanks for your help maybe i will mount the hlt above the mash tun for gravity fed sparging and pump the sparge water through the heat exchanger into my boil kettle. that should work, you think??
