So I recently picked up a set of 15gallon megapots. Want to convert one of them to a MLT.
I was looking at these: http://www.northernbrewer.com/brewing/false-bottom-for-15-gal-megapot.html
Anyone have any experience with them? I'm worried about how high off the bottom it appears it would sit. Seems like you'd have to up your strike water volume quite a bit no?
I've been using a copper manifold up to this point on my smaller MLT, so false bottoms are new to me. Just not sure how it works (in terms of adjusting strike volumes and such) when the bottom sits so high up off the bottom of the kettle.
Thanks for the info!
