I have the ability to obtain a 30qt turkey fryer complete with burner and stock pot. The question I have is simple I guess.

Would it be advisable to use the existing stock pot even though it has cooked turkeys, chicken, and other foods in oil? Should I just go out and buy a new stockpot and be done with it?
 
What I would do personally is boil 5 gallons of water with a few cups of white vinegar in it for about 15 minutes to clean it. Then you should be good to go!
