your sanitizing methods

i was wondering how other homebrewers sanitize their equipment, do you soak everything in starsan, or do you feel that simply spraying your buckets, thermometers, hoses etc.. with a pre mixed star san solution is enough?


im sure i will get a lot of different answers on this topic, but should still be interesting.

You only need 30 seconds contact time with starsan.

I'll mix up 3galthe of starsan in my primary..let it sit for 10-20min. Invert it for 10-20min. Then transfer to a carboy to santitize the tubing. Then use the carboy to santize anything else that I need thoughout the brew day.

I keep a spray bottle filled with star san mixed with distilled water, and just spray down the fermenters.
