Medeski, Martin & Wood are AWESOME!! I suspect you will really like em. Salmon is a jammin, cajun style band, Broken Social Scene is an aquired taste, new indy/surfer band. Ozric is just out there, kind of new wave techno but with real instruments and a big as synth.

You are right. M, M, & Wood are pretty cool.

Love your av, BTW. That disc has one of my all-time fave songs on it. Waste. Great song.

I know the feeling. My tastes are eclectic but there are days -- and, oddly enough, many of them seem to be brewing days or baking days -- when I have the house to myself, and it's the Kentucky Colonels turned up to 11.

I noted the Psychograss, too. David Grier is a mad genius. There are days that I aspire to play as well as Dan Crary back when he had hair (circa 1970). That, somehow, seems achievable in my lifetime. Playing like Grier, however, would take an unlimited bus pass to reincarnation. "No, really, I think I can get Porkchops and Applesauce down this time! Please let me go 'round again."

I was one of the first to buy the Gen 1 20G Dell Jukebox. I knew I'd be quality control but the notion of massive amount of music available at whim was more appealing than a $400 roll of the dice. I loved that device, babied it, and protected it. While others experienced massive failures mine remained true.

So it finally died despite my best efforts. I was rational enough to keep a reliable backup of my tune inventory, but its loss was profound. I replaced it with my XM. I'd like both, but if I can't have my MP3s, I'll take my XM.

Oh, I usually listen to Squizz on the XM. I guess my penance is the first five of whatever you hear there.

Same here. I still listen to that disc quite a bit. I can't believe that the pop-ish Cherry Pie did so much better than Dog Eat Dog.

The one they released after that (Ultraphobic) is really good as well.

Better than "Kid A"? Perhaps I need to give it more time, thusfar "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" is the only track that has really sunk its teeth into me.
