When you're planning a vacation to Hawaii (specifically Maui) and make sure you will 1) have time to brew a lager before you go so it can sit at lagering temps while you're gone, and 2) plan your trip itinerary around the brewery/taprooms on the island. There are three and we will visit all of them.

So true! Thrift shops and antique stores. I have so much equipment that has been re-purposed for beer

I was at Savers the other day and found a nice 5 gallon Carboy with stopper and handle for $10, they were having 40% off sale, so I got it for $6. Can't complain there!
