I brewed up a batch of ESB on April 17 and bottled it three weeks ago. I used 5 ounces of primming sugar and they have been stored in a room that is about 72 degrees. I tried a couple last week and there was NO carbonation whatsoever. I turned them upside down and waited a week. I put two in the fridge yesterday and opened one this evening and STILL no carbonation. Should I try shaking them a bit or what? Do some yeast strains take longer to carbonate than others?

Some beers take longer than others, but an esb shouldn't take that long. All you can do is wait it out, agitate them again, keep them warm, and try them in another week or so, they will pop eventually.
