So I order an 18 qt, induction-ready kettle from a well known online restaurant retailer. $63 for the kettle and $18 for shipping. My kettle arrives two days ago with a dent in it. After contacting the store's on-line chat and sending a picture, they offered me a free replacement. They said they don't want the old kettle back and will ship me a replacement immediately. Sweet, I get the dented one for free.

Today...my replacement kettle arrives. I open the box and what do you know, another friggin' dented kettle! So I contact the the store via online chat. Send a picture of both kettles side by side with my purchase invoices and guess what? They offered a store credit or a full refund, minis the original shipping cost of $19 from the first kettle.

What does this mean? I got $126 dollars worth of free kettles less the original $19 shipping cost.

Mind blown. I feel better now, thanks for listening.

I had a kettle a while back that was dented like that, I managed to get 90% of the dent out with a piece of scrap wood a big hammer...

It means you now have some extra dough to spend on other brewing stuff
Yea I just bought new compression fittings for my wort ss chiller and a roll of reflectix for insulation. Next is a pull system for BIAB, true weldless bulk heads from brewhardware.com and valves.

Yeah, I'd also like to know where I can get a dented kettle. Or at least where I can get great service like that.

Thank you for the the idea of doing this. I was worried I might get a pin hole but all worked out well after pounding the dents out.
