Not good, but not a disaster.

Try and get the temperature down to the mid 60s as quick as possible. The most efficient way is to place the fermenter in a water bath (a big plastic tub, or even the bath tub filled with water).

High fermentation temperatures will result in lots of esters from the yeast. Worse still, high fermentation temperatures can result in the formation of higher alcohols; these can leave you with headaches even after drinking only a few beers.

Unless it is a Belgian yeast, 80+F is way too high.
